An order for another ultra-luxury cruise ship has been made by the Silversea Cruises with scheduled delivery in the fourth quarter of 2021.
The contract will be with Fincantieri and is valued at €320 million. The vessel is named as Silver Dawn and will be the sistership of Silversea’s flagship, Silver Muse, launched from the Fincantieri shipyard of Sestri Ponente, Geneo in April 2017.
Just after months after the cruise line signed a contract order with Fincantierie for the construction of Silver Moon, the order for Silver Dawn was made.
Since then Silversea was committed in constructing a new ship that will be at par with Silver Muse’s ultra luxury qualities. Another sister ship Silver Muse will be delivered in 2020.
It is expected the upcoming third ship in the Muse-class series will strengthen the strategic ‘musification’ of Silversea’s fleet which will be a part of cruise line’s expansion plan.
It will be the fleet’s eleventh ship and it is expected that Silver Dawn will benefit from the all-suite accommodation option which is characteristic of all Silversea vessels.
The guest will experience superlative comfort and enhanced onboard experience bringing authentic travel experiences for Silversea’s.
Manfredi Lefebvre d’Ovidio, Silversea chairman mentioned that the after the extraordinary success of Silver Muse, they were delighted to announced the launch of Silver Dawn. The eleventh ship will have the same hallmarks of quality which the guests experience in their 6-star ships.
So far Fincantieri has built 82 cruise ships starting from 1990, another 44 are currently being designed.
