The global accommodation sharing website, Airbnb is likely to double its workforce in Ireland to about 1,000 over the following three to five years, as per its head of operation.

In an interview with one of the leading media platforms of Ireland it was know that Dublin that is Airbnb’s main headquarters for Europe, Africa and the Middle East were receiving around 1,000 staff members that would be able to fulfill their existing two buildings here.

With the passage of time it is believed that Airbnb might grow in size in Ireland to match the numbers employed in this brand by fellow global technology Facebook and Google.

They mentioned in the interview that last year the head of global IT support that was placed in Dublin and that they were always eager to seek ways to add brand new functions here.

The website of Airbnb shows that it is presently seeking to recruit for nine positions in Dublin.

The head of Airbnb in Ireland Aisland Hassel wished the Irish operation to be a ‘poster child’ within the global network of Airbnb. She said that everybody knows that they were the top performing site across the company from a productivity standpoint.

She then went on to add that Dublin has been quite wonderful for Airbnb and as a business model now Ireland can be displayed to the world as to how Ireland has embraced fresh types of businesses and really grown with them.

Ms. Hassell is from Dublin is the global head of customer experience for Airbnb and head of its EMEA hub that is based here.

The main office of Airbnb is in Dublin. It is the Warehouse building that is based in Grand Canal Dock that was designed from the scratch that is also the first globally, for the brand.

Hassell has also asserted that nearly 1.2 million visitors had stayed with the Airbnb hosts in the Republic last year with 22,000 people booking accommodation through the website for the recent festivities St. Patrick’s Day.
