The first official Airbnb-branded apartment complex will open in Kissimmee, south of Orlando for the Florida bound travelers.
Airbnb has partnered with Miami’s Newgard Development Group and the 324 –unit building will be known as ‘Niido Powered by Airbnb’. The residents will be able to rent out their apartments after signing an annual lease through Airbnb for a period of 180 nights per year.
The intention is to make home sharing easier for both guests and tenants, the motive of Airbnb and Newgard is to create state of the art apartments that will give a homely feel along with the amenities of a hotel.
The units are expected to have keyless entry and an app that will allow the tenant to provide on-demand services like guest check-in, cleaning and luggage services.
Jaja Jackson, the director of the global multifamily housing partnerships sad that the partnership will make it easier for the host to share space giving more options to the guests when they are travelling.
The partnership will have the landlords, developers and Airbnb working together creating value for everyone. The Newgard team is leading the way and he was thrilled to work with them.
The opening date is yet to be finalized, however some media reported that the complex will be operating from the first quarter of the next year .There might be plans of expansion into Miami and then to other cities in the South.
