As there is an influx of tourists to see the scenic beauty of Victoria Falls, located in southern part of Africa’s region between Zambia and Zimbabwe, the number of international flights from Europe and America increases along with the accommodations.
The surrounding areas near Victoria Falls includes Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, Zambezi River, Kazuma Pan National Park and Hwange National Park are in peak with the international tourists and the economy is quite increasing.
Zimbabwe has eased the safety fears, and the 2009 “dollarization” of the country “put an end to hyperinflation and stabilised the economy.
It was in early 2000s, before the tourism and economic crash in Zimbabwe, there was a Go To Vic Falls promotional entity, but it folded several years ago. During that time, mostly private companies and tourism brands promote the visitation.
But now the business have been improved over last three years and the number of tourists arrivals also increasing at its height which marks best here.
Joss Kent, chief executive officer of safari operator &Beyond said that Zimbabwe is still young to grow its tourism industry.
Another key ingredient of Zimbabwe Tourism is the growing arrival. The visa allows citizens of 40 countries — including the key U.S. and European markets — to transfer easily between Zimbabwe and Zambia, and stay for up to 30 days in both countries.
The World Travel and Tourism Council forecasts that Zimbabwe has a slight uptick in international tourism arrivals to 2.1 million in 2017.
Ethiopian Airlines is launching the four flights weekly from it’s headquarter in Addis Ababa using a Boeing 737.
From May Kenya Airways will start direct flights three times a week from Nairobi to Victoria Falls, continuing on to Cape Town, South Africa.
These flights, operated by Embraer E190s with a 12-84 business-economy split, are in addition to its existing service linking Nairobi, Livingstone and Cape Town.
While the accommodations are increasing as the flights are in surge. Some of the important accommodations are Victoria Falls River Lodge, Ilala Lodge and many others allure the tourists for the wonderful view of the lodge from the hotel room.
The Zimbabwe National Roads Administration has allocated more than $200,000 for road improvements in Victoria Falls town, including the iconic bridge across the Batoka Gorge to Zambia, while lodges in the city and outside the city are upgrading to meet the tourism demand.
