Belfast International Airport sees many air crash reports and the emergency landing. Some of the flights could face the major fatalities, due to the lack of communication.

A passenger plane struck a runway approach light when taking off from Belfast International Airport that could have led to a crash. This was the common incident at Belfast International Airport.

Previously, the Air Accident Investigation Branch (AAIB) said the flight to Corfu in July 21st that took-off without the required thrust. In total, 185 people were on board the plane 179 passengers and six crew, which was published in the recent investigative reviews.

The Air Accident Investigation Branch (AAIB) said the thrust setting of the plane was significantly below that required.

It is highlighted that there are several safety concerns about the flight, also said that the plane may have crashed on a shorter runway.

The report stated that it was considered that, in slightly different circumstances, this event could have resulted in the loss of the aircraft with multiple fatalities.

It also said the Air Accident Investigation Branch (AAIB) was not conversant of the incident until three days later, by which time the flight data recorder and cockpit voice recorder had been overwritten by other flights.

The flight flew 16 times between the incident and the time it was reported to the AAIB.

The investigators said that as the plane lifted off from Belfast International Airport, one of its tyres struck a 35cm-high runway approach light, which was 29m beyond the end of the runway. The broken light was noted by airport operations staff that inspected the runway after takeoff.

Neither of the pilots or the attendants of the flight or the tour operator reported the incident to the Air Accident Investigation Branch (AAIB).
