A U.K.-bound Thomson flight was grounded to a halt after a passenger observed a Wi-Fi account entitled Jihadist Cell London 1 on board the aircraft.

This Thomson Airways flight was scheduled to depart from Cancun in Mexico for Gatwick in London just a little while after there were reports of the Manchester bombing.

According to the media, a seated passenger on board the flight was the very first person to notice the suspicious Wi-Fi address. He said that he had approached a member of the cabin crew who immediately took his phone up to the cockpit. After the Wi-Fi address was noticed, the pilot made an announcement that the flight would be delayed.

But then, very soon, the pilot made a speech to the passengers explaining him what was going on.

In the speech he had asked the owner of the connection hotspot to progress forward. The captain warned the passengers that he would be compelled to inform the police if they did not surrender to the cabin crew.

Thereafter, police was summoned and the mobile devices of each of the passengers were inspected.

Furthermore, sniffer dogs were called in to examine the flight. Eventually, the police cleared the flight for the purpose of take-off. None of the passengers claimed the ownership of the Wi-Fi and nobody was suspected.
