The theme park sector all across the planet is expected to generate revenues amounting to nearly $32.1 billion by 2017, as revealed by the Global Industry Analysts. An outstanding growth is expected to be witnessed in the Middle East with the introduction of new projects that have started coming up in Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

The 23rd edition of Deal show that is the Dubai Entertainment, Amusement, and Leisure would be a spectator to smart inventions including the much-awaited family entertainment centre equipment, 12D cinemas, 9D park rides, augmented reality games and much more.

The event is being hosted by IEC or the International Expo Consults.

The development of these brand new and smart inventions would establish a fresh benchmark in the Middle East and also the entertainment sector of the world, particularly the indoor entertainment industry.

Currently, the grand event is being conducted at Hall 1,2,3, and 4 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. It had kick started on 27th March. The exhibitors had noticed a large number of regional trade visitors on the first day of the show.

Sharif Rahman, CEO, IEC said that every year at the Deal show, these amazing exhibitors are showcased.

And, with every passing year, he added, the expectations soar higher. The outdoor theme park industry in this area has developed to a great extent and so has the FEC or Family Entertainment Centres that are like a compulsory feature for almost any and every mega mall in this region.

The organizers of the event feel that the colorful offerings of Dubai would continue to be the main attraction of the regional indoor entertainment industry.

Georg Dobler, Sales and Product Management at Sunkid, said during the Deal 2017 that the UAE and GCC region are crucial nerve-centres for all kinds of interesting tourism activities that include amusement parks. He went on to add that a brand new ride known as ‘Sundancer’, that is truly appropriate for indoor and outdoor theme parks would be introduced in the regional water parks along with their plans to transport tubes and rafts in these attractions.

The year 2017 appears to be quite promising for the retail and entertainment industry of the Middle East and also the amusement and leisure sector thanks to the exponential revenues they have earned currently.
