Double celebration as Oetker Collection’s Palácio Tangará – Opening May 2017 – hosts opening ceremony of Travelweek Sao Paulo By ILTM 2017



São Paulo’s newest hotel, the Oetker Collection’s Palácio Tangará – opening in May 2017 – will host the Opening Ceremony of Latin America’s dynamic luxury travel event, Travelweek Sao Paulo by ILTM 2017.  The double celebration will take place on Tuesday 25 April from 5pm and will be the first opportunity for the world of luxury travel to preview this new masterpiece hotel in São Paulo.

Travelweek Sao Paulo by ILTM welcomes up to 450 of the world’s most incredible properties and experiences to meet with Latin America’s elite planners, buyers and designers of travel itineraries for their high-net worth clients.  A dedicated media programme also runs alongside the one-to-one business meetings and social networking events that take place throughout.  The business of Travelweek begins on Tuesday 26 April and the event closes on Friday 28 April.
 
Palácio Tangará overlooks the Burle Marx Park in central São Paulo, close to the home of Travelweek Sao Paulo by ILTM - Bienial Pavilion. The name Tangará is from the paradise Tanager of Amazonia (Tangara Chilensis), a multicolored songbird, and one of many that has featured as part of the Travelweek brand image.  The hotel is considered a true “green sanctuary in Brazil’s bustling metropolis,” and will offer 141 spacious guestrooms (including 59 suites) all with beautiful views overlooking the park.  Palácio Tangará will also feature nine private meeting rooms, including a ballroom accommodating up to 530 guests.  The fitness centre and Sisley spa will have its own private garden, and there will be indoor and outdoor swimming pools and a kid’s club.  World-renowned chef-restaurateur, Jean-Georges Vongerichten will lead the hotel’s dining experiences which will include signature Restaurant Tangara, a chef’s table, a bar, a wine cellar, lounge & terrace, room service and banquet facilities.
