For the very first time, meeting planners would now be capable of surfing through multiple event venues in any city thanks to a virtual reality technology. The technology also includes a 360-degree video that would assist the planner in designing corporate events.

Meet L.A. Tourism is a part of the Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board.

The Board has launched the Virtual Discovery L.A. portal last week. The portal has portrayed over 50 gathering and group spaces in an immersive video. Now, meetings planners would be able to move digitally through some of the renowned sites of Los Angeles including Warner Brothers Studio, The Getty, Walt Disney Concert Hall, L.A. LIVE and others. In addition, the videos also comprise a dozen VR/360 videos portraying the function spaces inside the L.A Convention Center.

Besides, the platform also offers views some neighborhood tours wherein meeting planners can explore graffiti murals in the Arts District, Tiffany store on Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills, outdoor cafes in Hollywood Farmer’s Market and so on.

Xplorit has developed the virtual reality experience of Meet L.A.

This company has created several kinds of VR content based on the theme of meetings and leisure for various hotels since the last few years. The Xplorit’s new offering comes after it tasted success on its brand new Meet L.A. website that had been launched last year.

Darren Green, senior VP of sales at Meet L.A. said that the Virtual Discovery L.A. portal enables planners to position themselves firmly in this region. This would help them understand the location of the important venues in this place.

Green said that they listened to their customer advisory board about the various tools they would like to expect in the technology.

The platform of Xplorit is equipped with a navigation bar on its left side that has extra content to offer further context close to the venue search procedure as planners navigate through the portal. Meeting planners can just click on any of the neighborhood of Los Angeles Tourism and also the hotel videos that compliment the VR/360 content and also Google Maps. Each of the venues are highlighted with pins.
