Ει βούλει καλώς ακούειν, μάθε καλώς λέγειν, μαθών δε καλώς λέγειν, πειρώ καλώς πράττειν, και ούτω καρπώση το καλώς ακούειν. (Επίκτητος)

Delta has completed installation of Wi-Fi on its entire long-haul international fleet, enabling customers flying on its more than 200 daily flights between the United States and Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, the Middle East and South America to stay connected at 30,000 feet.

Delta is now the only U.S. airline to offer Wi-Fi on all of its long-haul international flights and operates one of the world’s largest Wi-Fi equipped fleets, with more than 1,100 aircraft operating more than 3,500 connected flights every day, including nearly 700 domestic mainline aircraft, more than 180 international wide-body aircraft and nearly all Delta Connection two-class regional jets. International Wi-Fi installation included Delta’s Boeing 747, Boeing 777, Boeing 767, international Boeing 757-200 and Airbus A330 fleets. More than 400,000 Delta customers per day have access to in-flight Wi-Fi.

“We’ve invested billions of dollars in making our customers feel more at home in the sky through comfort, connectivity and entertainment,” said Joe Kiely, Delta’s Managing Director – Product and Customer Experience. “Completion of international Wi-Fi installation means our customers are more connected than ever when flying to the more than 50 countries we serve around the world.”

Delta’s international Wi-Fi is powered by Gogo’s high-speed Ku-Band satellite technology. Delta began installing Wi-Fi on its domestic aircraft in 2008 and its international aircraft in 2012. The airline’s in-flight Wi-Fi portal offers free access to delta.com, where customers can manage their trip, book a flight, check their SkyMiles account, book a hotel and car, and check flight status.

Delta has invested billions in its on-board product and the customer experience with orders for hundreds of new aircraft and a cabin modernization program that includes new seats, seatback entertainment systems, high capacity overhead bins, new lavatories, ambient lighting, access to Wi-Fi on nearly all flights, and other enhancements.
