CTICC Inaugural Mini Wedding Expo a Great Succes

On Saturday the 16th of August 2014 the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) hosted its inaugural Mini Wedding Expo. This was the first time that the centre has hosted its own mini expo, which attracted in excess of 300 people. This event formed part of the centre’s three month promotional wedding campaign, which will culminate in the main prize draw; where over R 35 000 of prizes will be up for grabs.

According to Megan Arendse, General Manager for Commercial & Business Development, the CTICC offers an array of wedding packages designed to create memorable experiences. “The expo provided an ideal platform to showcase the centre’s service offerings, giving guests a glimpse into the extraordinary experience they will receive if they book their wedding reception at the CTICC”, she added.

Guests were afforded an opportunity to interact and network with CTICC staff members and a diverse array of wedding service providers, including the centre’s audio visual and décor service partners. The CTICC’s renowned pastry chefs also pulled out all the stops in terms of creating wedding cake masterpieces, which could be sampled.

A series of spot prizes were given away on the day and several lucky winners walked away with spectacular prizes such as complimentary wedding photography packages, jewellery, accommodation and much more.

Over the past 11 years the CTICC has built an enviable reputation of providing the perfect fine dining experience. “The centre has successfully hosted prestigious banquets such as the National Budget Vote Dinner, UCT Graduation Dinner and the 1000 Women United Against Domestic Violence Luncheon, which catered to over 1000 women”, added Megan. CTICC boasts one of the largest and most advanced kitchens in the Western Cape and is renowned for its cuisine offerings.

The centre offers flexible and multi-purpose space and boasts a 2000 square metre Grand Ballroom and a Roof Terrace Room, which offers majestic views of the city and Table Mountain. “Combined with the CTICC’s world-class offerings, we provide the picture-perfect backdrop for a memorable wedding experience”, concluded Arendse.
