Rome’s five stars luxury hotel is organic and green

Created in 1963 in the hearth of Rome by Spartaco Vannoni , the five stars luxury hotel Raphaël, Relais et Château chooses Conosci il tuo pasto for its restaurant.

Located just few steps from piazza Navona, entering the Hotel you can breathe the passion for art thanks to its exquisite art masterpieces and unique collections: paintings of Mirò, Morandi and De Chirico, lithographs, sculptures and a gorgeous collection of Picasso ceramics.

Roberto Vannoni, director at the hotel, art lover as his father and exquisite gentleman, took a resolute environmentally friendly choice concerning the management of the hotel and the food served in the hotel’s Relais Picasso restaurant that in summertime moves to the beautiful terrace overlooking the old Rome.

Roberto conceived a place where attention to fine arts, hospitality, origin of the selected ingredients and recipes in the menu would be combined in an unique experience. Inspired by his personal belief that moves from the respect for the planet and life, he decided to go organic & green for the restaurant and food service in the hotel. Organic and biodynamic products in the breakfast buffet and in the menu à la carte which offers mainly vegetarian and vegan recipes with exception of some fresh fish dishes. A creative and balanced cuisine with Mediterranean menu signed by chef Jean- Luc Fruneau.

The decision to apply for Conosci il tuo pasto certification was undertaken by the mangement in order to valorize the commitment to guarantee international guests about the quality and the origin of the food at Raphael.

Raphael which is also the first Biohotel in Rome obtained the 3 cockerels (the maximum score for the quality of products) and 3 green leaves as a premium for the environmental performance according to Conosci il tuo pasto.
