69th IATA Annual General Meeting and World Air Transport Summit will
be held in Cape Town, South Africa from 2 to 4 June 2013.
The
global outlook for the airline industry is for moderate financial
improvement this year, with African airlines participating in the
uptick. But the forecast net profit margin of 1.6% provides little
cushion should the global economy hit headwinds. These financial
challenges have not prevented the industry from moving forward to
meet its targets on improving safety and security, environmental
