The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) has appointed Ms Daniela Wagner as PATA European Coordinator, effective February 22, 2013.

career experience will add value as we build the PATA brand in
Europe. Daniela's work is highly acclaimed among our aligned advocacy
partners. Her organisational skills were well proven at the Global
Tourism Economy Forum in Macau last year and at the PATA Aligned
Advocacy Dinner at the House of Commons in London.”
Wagner,
a dual UK/German national, speaks fluent English, French and German
and has a working knowledge
of Italian and Dutch. She is very familiar with the travel industry
and associations. From 1998 to 2003 she was Vice-President, Corporate
Affairs for the World Travel & Tourism Council. For seven years
in the 1990s she was Executive Director of European Tour Operators
Association.
She
has also been Global Managing Director for OctopusTravel and CEO of
the Cendant/TravelPort B2C Business Group.
In 2008 she co-founded eWaterways, an online aggregator of niche
cruise products.
The
PATA CEO said that her main responsibilities for PATA would be to
recruit and retain members in Europe, foster relations with key
organisations around the continent, represent PATA at events, promote
the PATA brand, align PATA Chapters with PATA HQ strategic
objectives, and be the key contact for PATA in Europe.
Her
interests include travel, literature, theatre, cinema, skiing and
spending time with her husband and five children. She lives in
Hertfordshire in England, just outside of London.
