Izmir 2012 this time is aiming to expand its frame and attract a
larger influx of international visitors.
Moreover,
with KOSGEB supporting the fair for the first time, local exhibitors
will enjoy KOSGEB support up to 100 square meters.

Izmir 2012, which targets to create new cooperation agreements for
tourism industry and thus contribute to Turkey’s promotion,
has also captured an international limelight. While South Korea,
Maldives, Tanzania and Indonesia are fresh exhibitors, the fair has
also attracted growing attention from abroad year by year.
Like
in the previous years, the fair will host many delegations and press
from different countries.

Airlines, the fair’s long-standing sponsor, this
year’s fair is expected to welcome visitors from Canada,
Denmark,Finland,
Germany, Indonesia, India, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, South
Africa, Spain, Tatarstan and USA.

Izmir has in years become a hotspot for the industry’s
professionals, attracting exhibitors from over 50 destinations in
Turkey. The conference program, which will be held by ETIK
(Aegean Touristic Hotels and
InvestorsAssociations)
this year, tackle all the recent news and developments in the Turkish
tourism industry with participation of sector leaders.
Organized
under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the fair
will introduce Turkey’s tourist
attractions, primarily all about Izmir, and
destinations to local and international tourism investors, agencies,
as well as purchasers and ultimate consumers planning for a holiday.

Izmir 2011 Tourism Fair and Conference welcomed 638 exhibitors and
gathered 20,568 visitors from across 34 countries.
