2013 Air Transport News Awards


Air Transport News (ATN) is launching its 2013 Annual Awards on Thursday 15 November for the following categories:

  • Airline Alliance of the Year
  • Airport of the Year under 10 Million Passengers
  • Airport of the Year 10-30 Million Passengers
  • Airport of the Year
  • Regional Airline of the Year
  • Low Cost Airline of the Year
  • Airline of the Year
  • Lifetime Achievement Award*
  • Leader of the Year*
    The readers of ATN can vote (only one vote per registered email in www.atn.aero) until 15 January 2013, 20:00 GMT based on the following criteria:
    For airlines:
    1) Best value for passengers' money
    2) Best passenger service quality
    3) Most influential leader in their peer airline group
    4) Most innovative and entrepreneurial
    5) Best financial performance during last year
    6) Achievements during the last year
    7) New products launched
    8) Social responsibility & contribution to society

    For airports:
    1) Most airline friendly
    2) Most passenger friendly
    3) Most influential leader in their peer airport group
    4) Most innovative and entrepreneurial
    5) Best financial performance during last year
    6) Achievements during the last year
    7) Quality of services
    8) Social responsibility & contribution to society

    For alliances:
    1) Best value for passengers' money
    2) Best passenger service quality
    4) Most innovative and entrepreneurial
    5) Achievements during the last year
    6) New products launched
    7) Social responsibility & contribution to society

    For all the other categories:
    1) Most influential leader
    2) Best financial performance during last year
    3) Achievements during the last year
    4) New products launched
    5) Social responsibility & contribution to society
    6) Most innovative and entrepreneurial

    *The Awards of Lifetime Achievement and Leader of the Year are selected by the Air Transport News Team
    After the end of the voting procedure (15 January) the jury will reach its final verdict based on the 5 shortlisted companies (according to the number of votes received) in each category.
    The Chairperson of the jury for 2013 is Dr Andreas Papatheodorou, Managing Director of DATTEA Consulting.

    The winners will be announced in the 2013 ATN Award Ceremony to be held in Montreal, Canada on Sunday 17th March, the day before the ICAO ATConf/6.
    Readers are strongly advised NOT to vote for the companies where they work to avoid invalidating the validity of the voting.
